“Growing Bolder” Team Focuses On Story Behind Documentary

Category : Latest News

We are big fans of Growing Bolder!  We have been watching them from day one of their initial launch … when Randy Janney was working for Doverwood Communications, he did some motion graphic work for them  (i.e., the opening you see on the TV show).  Now the tables were turned and Melanie and Sylvia of Yellow Rick Road Productions’ were put in front of the camera.  They had the honor of being showcased in one of the Growing Bolder segments.

Here is a link to the story Growing Bolder did on the Rick Springfield documentary … the project that is near and dear to our hearts: http://growingbolder.com/media/entertainment/music/rick-springfield-revealed-759643.html#content_tabsLook for this segment on your local PBS station in early 2012.

The following story accompanied their video segment:

More than 30 years after he shot to super-stardom on the heels of a No. 1 record and a daytime drama role, Rick Springfield retains a nearly mesmerizing hold on legions of fans — male and female — worldwide.

Revealing and explaining this phenomenon in a documentary film became the dream of superfan Melanie Lentz-Janney. But how do you make a film when you’re not a filmmaker and have no funding? You make it with the power of belief.

Now that the film is finished, Lentz-Janney and her collaborator Sylvia Caminer are clearing music and video rights and working to get An Affair of the Heart into film festivals and in front of distributors. They hope to have it in theaters, on TV, in video stores and online in the very near future.
