Randy Janney
Creative Services

Randy Janney began his professional career in broadcasting with the startup Empire Sports Network in Buffalo, NY. The dynamic world of sports and the anything-can-happen nature of a fledgling station led to his working every position, from cameraman standing on the ice at a hockey game at Cornell University, to typing up high school football scores for live broadcast, to running instant replay during the Stanley Cup playoffs for ESPN and Hockey Night in Canada (French and English).

Randy’s love of art and technology led him to the position of Broadcast Graphic Designer. He did everything from writing, shooting, editing and animating network promotional spots and commercials, to creating outside print advertising, designing sets, and creating complete broadcast graphic packages. This resulted in an Emmy® nomination in 1997 in the category of Outstanding Graphics.

In 2000, Randy moved to New York City to work on the CNN Moneyline News Hour and to freelance in the busy world of New York sports production. The thrill of working with Lou Dobbs and the New York Yankees was surpassed only by getting to crew Extreme Championship Wrestling at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

More recently, Randy moved to Orlando to work as Senior Graphic Designer at Orlando’s NBC affiliate, WESH-TV.

Currently Randy is VP of Creative Services at Doverwood Communications. He continues to explore different media, adding still photography, web design, outdoor media and high definition video production to his ever expanding sphere of professional experience.
