Susan Kaplan has over 15 years experience in the entertainment industry with expertise in creating and executing publicity and grassroots marketing campaigns for independent films.
As a freelance consultant her clients have included The American Film Company, Roadside Attractions, IFC Films and Samuel Goldwyn Films. Susan’s film career began in national publicity at Fine Line Features (former art house division of New Line Cinema) in New York and continued at New Line Cinema in Los Angeles where she was Director of Special Events.
Susan started working with Melanie Lentz-Janney at Doverwood Communications in 2011. During the past three years she has worked on publicity campaigns for the award-winning feature documentary “An Affair of the Heart” and the Long Island International Film Expo.
Susan has a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from AmericanInternational College in Springfield, MA.
